This 1966 photograph, of the corner of Park Street and High Street North, shows the last stages of the demolition of Tower House. This beautiful building, set amidst attractive gardens, had been the home of the Dales family, of Dales Dubbin fame. It was distinguished by a room on top of the building which locals called "the observatory".
